Silver will naturally tarnish when exposed to oxygen and oils from your skin. This can be welcomed by some, and unwanted by others. If you wish to clean your silver when you get your coasters home, there are dozens of products and at-home tricks to do so. My favorite product is Cape Cod's Metal Polish. Weiman also makes a great product that doesn't required too much buffing. The patina has been left on these coasters.
